ABSTRACT
The high temperature deformation of Al-Li alloy (8090) has been studied in the temperature range from 320℃ to 500℃ and the strain rate range from 3.46 × 10^(-1)/sec to 2.07 × 10^0/sec by hot torsion. Judging from the flow curves and the change of structure produced by continuous deformation, the high temperature restoration mechanism of Al-Li alloy was the dynamic recovery. The constitutive equation relating the strain rate to the flow stress and temperature could be described by exponential equation, ε˚=A exp (βσ) exp (-Q/RT). The value of constants of constitutive equation were A=2.013 × 10^(13), β=0.0755, activation energy=207KJ/㏖, respectively.

ABSTRACT
The static restoration processes that take place during the isothermal annealing of the hot worked Al-Li alloy, in the temperature range 380℃∼ 500℃, have been studied. The interrupted deformation was performed with the interruption time of 30∼600 sec and the strain intervals of 0.2, 0.7 and 1.2. During the interrupted deformation, the softening occured by the static recrystallization mechanism. The degree of softening was augmented with increase of the temperature, the interruption strain, and the interruption time.
